Dehumidifiers

For your humidity problems, we have a wide range of industrial dryers in our assortment, which can be used for both stationary- as well as possibly temporary applications.

Effective control of building humidity is an important issue in virtually every industry. Whether it concerns storage of moisture or corrosion-sensitive products, processing of hygroscopic materials, protecting installations or to protect building structures from damage, properly managed humidity can prevent the high costs of damage and process delays. It is also the most efficient way to deal with the moisture problem in the greenhouse industry.

We have an extensive range of industrial condensate dryers that can remove up to 600 liters per day of moisture from the air at 30°/ 60% RH, and even more at more extreme conditions.

The selection of the right dehumidifier depends on a number of factors such as the size of the room to be dehumidified, the indoor climate, the products in storage or the production process. We are therefore happy to assist you in calculating and selecting the right machines specifically for your situation.

Often when people think of controlling humidity they only think of heating. However this only lowers the relative humidity but it is not a solution to remove moisture from the air and it is also a very costly solution to the problem.

A much better solution to address the problem is to use condensation dryers. Using modern heat pump technology, these dryers are very effective at removing moisture from the air to lower the relative humidity at the same temperatures. This is 4 to 5 times more efficient than raising the temperature alone.

Also, condensing dryers have a wide operating temperature range and are often efficient at lower temperatures as well. Because condensing dryers recirculate the air, they are also ideally suited for non- or poorly ventilated rooms.

Operation and application areas of adsorption dryers

An adsorption dryer works on the basis of air currents (process and regeneration air) blowing past a drying wheel.
This drying wheel consists of a honeycomb structure impregnated with an adsorbent medium of silica gel or lithium chloride.

The (moist) process air comes into contact with the hygroscopic material and absorbs much of the moisture from the air, this causes dry air to leave the machine on the other side of the wheel and this dry air is blown back into the room.

To prevent the moist drying wheel from becoming saturated, part of the drying wheel is continuously regenerated with a heated air stream, which evaporates the moisture from the drying wheel. This moist air is then transported outside with the air stream.

Examples of application areas include:

  • Protection against corrosion of/in storage tanks and ships
  • Protection against moisture-sensitive goods
  • Drying of production and storage areas
  • Areas where humidity levels below 35% must be achieved
  • Working areas at temperatures lower than 8 degrees Celsius

Operation and application areas condenser dryers

In condenser dryers, moist air is drawn in over the evaporator section of the block. The evaporator block is cooled to such an extent that the relative humidity exceeds 100% and, as a result, the “water particles” condense on the fins of the block.

The condensed water is diverted through a hose to an external reservoir or is pumped out with a pump kit.

The dry air is then directed over the warm condenser block, where the cooler air is heated to a few degrees above its original intake temperature.

Examples of application areas include:

  • Drying rooms after water damage
  • Quicker drying of new construction or remodeling work
  • Dehumidification in drying processes
